Canadians can apply for a Marijuana Grower license
Anyone want to apply for a Marijuana grower license?
Canada has allowed Medicinal Marijuana as far back as 2001. Back then there were only 100 registered users, but by 2013, that number had jumped to 37,000 users. The Government at that time, became concerned about these numbers. In 2014, the government attempted to revise the laws regarding growing your own medicinal marijuana, and tried to enforce having to buy ALL marijuana from Government facilities. Patients and producers licensed under the old laws were ordered to destroy their stocks of marijuana hash and seeds. A Federal Court granted a temporary injunction allowing continued use of home-grown medical marijuana until legal arguments be heard. Finally, in 2016, new laws were put in place.
Once again, with a license, a Canadian citizen was and is
allowed to grow a certain amount of marijuana for personal use for a health problem. Legalizing medicinal marijuana also opened the doors for commercial growers, to provide medicinal marijuana products for those not wanting to or unable to grow their own. Many patients use the concentrates instead of the dried flowers, like cannabis oil, shatter, resin and wax, which require careful manufacturing.
Presently, since 2016, a Canadian, with a licence, can grow five (5) plants indoors or two (2) plants outdoors. This really is not very much at all, producing about 1 gram of dried product.
Using dried product means you are smoking the cannabis or adding it to foods as edibles. These methods of using cannabis medicinally are not as effective as using concentrates.
Concentrates are actually a much better way of using cannabis medicinally, as not everyone wants to smoke it or smoke period!
Making a concentrate from the keif (from the flowers), can be a dangerous process, often resulting in explosions and fires when done incorrectly.
In 2018, our Canadian government is posed
to finalize the legalizing of Recreational Marijuana, under license as well. What does this mean? Well, in a nutshell, a Canadian citizen, will be allowed to grow a certain amount at home for either recreational or medicinal purposes. Commercial producers will be able to grow and sell Marijuana plants and products under license for sale to recreational users, not just those with a medical card. Even better, concentrates from Marijuana will become more available and legal to use. This is GREAT NEWS for those that have been having to buy the oils through the black market or even having to make their own!
Right now as a Canadian, you might be asking, where can i get a medical marijuana license? For Canadian Marijuana grower application forms and to learn more about our Canadian Marijuana laws, the following link will take you to (Wendy Little and Eric Nash) Marijuana legal consultants
“In 2016, the Trudeau government and Canada’s new Cannabis Secretariat in Ottawa invited Nash and Little as experts to attend and advise at the “Marijuana Legalization and Regulation Task Force Roundtable” sessions in Vancouver with former Deputy Prime Minister, Health & Justice Minister Anne McLellan and former Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair.”
Presently, there are 89 Authorized Canadian Cannabis Growers
*Although I am not a personal Marijuana user,
I have always been an advocate of free choice for choosing one’s method of healing. *Edit- Since I wrote this article, I have indeed become a user of both Hemp and Marijuana oils. See my personal story on Bad Trip. I believe ALL plants on this planet have a medicinal or nutritional use, and it is up to Earth’s citizens to use them wisely. No one should be banned from using what nature has created. The humble Asian Poppy has become a villain because humans extracted it’s resins, and through experimentation, created heroin and morphine. I often wonder what other uses could be found for the Asian Poppy, taking Heroin and Morphine out of the picture.
And there is cocaine, another horror that is extracted and refined from a plant commonly called the Coco Bush. The plant itself has medicinal qualities, and it is only humans that have defiled it’s true value. The concentrates from the Asian Poppy and the Coco Bush have mostly been used for unhealthy and selfish purposes.
From all the research that I’ve done, Marijuana is the true healer here, along with Hemp it’s ‘cousin’. These Cannabis plants have already shown themselves to be healers, and research will show their true potential in years to come. In fact it seems the most dangerous aspect of Marijuana is being caught with it!
For those of you here who are interested in growing your own Marijuana, either for personal use or commercially.. I have some sources for seeds and growing supplies. Edit- I wrote an article on Grow Marijuana Seeds since this post.
I love growing Marijuana, a company in the Netherlands, has a seed company and ships worldwide for free
The following video is a short 4 minute presentation of growing medical marijuana on an Oregon farm.
The information in this post is from 2018 and most likely has changed. I will be updating all my posts in the coming months. Stay tuned.
Blessings to all of you
